There has been widespread speculation that Tony McCoy could ride Denman in the Gold Cup. McCoy will have his work cut out if he is to ride Denman who I feel is terrible value at 3/1 with Betfair to win the Gold Cup. This is a horse who has not run since last year's Gold Cup because of injuries, you can not back this horse with any confidence!

Denman will more than likely go out from 3/1 after the Newbury 14.50 Aon Chase on Saturday, where only a convincing win will do. Denman at 8/15 with Betfair to win the Aon Chase, is hardly worth a bet!

McCoy is still after the 3000 wins milestone, stuck on 2998, with the recent cold snap not doing him any favors.
